The Marvel Comics Universe, or MCU as fans tend to call it, is attracting a huge following these days. Just look at the numbers they’re making with each new film release. Children are the most influenced by this new generation of superheroes. It’s not uncommon for them to identify with them.
You’ll be sure to please your little ones with a present featuring their favorite Avenger. But before you do, find out which Marvel character they might be. To help you without a quiz or test, here are some key things to remember about the main movie figures in this wonderful world.
Iron-man
Iron-man is the DC Universe’s equivalent of Batman. He’s that rich man, brilliant, a little too sure of himself and sometimes condescending, but not evil. We love Iron-man for his dark humor and genius inventions. He doesn’t owe his fortune to chance. He worked hard and cultivated his talent.
Despite his somewhat aloof and haughty nature, he genuinely cares about those around him. Even if he hasn’t always been so. He proved his dedication and courage to the world by sacrificing himself for the good of humanity in the film Endgame.
His favorite meal? Cheeseburgers. It’s impossible to start work without grabbing one. The same goes for when he’s feeling a bit overwhelmed, in a bad mood or sad.
Iron-man is one of the heroes who showed that you can be “super” without necessarily possessing great powers. You just have to believe in yourself and give it your all.
Captain America
Captain America is the movie hero who can be seen from afar with his large shield bearing the colors of America, his country. His greatest strength lies in his unfailing kindness and sense of decorum. Always a serious and altruistic character, he takes great pleasure in helping those around him.
Before acquiring his powers, Captain America was an ordinary man, below average, puny and fragile. Despite this, he was determined to join the army to defend his homeland and support his fellow countrymen. He was convinced that he could make a difference in his own way. He never gave up, despite the ridicule he received. Little by little, he earned the respect of others.
For him, the essential qualities of a superhero are dignity, respect, kindness and altruism. Beyond his physical strength, Captain America has risen by the sheer force of his character. That’s probably why, in Endgame, he was able to use Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer.
Black widow
Also known as the Black Widow, Black Widow was originally a Russian spy. She is one of the Avengers superheroes with no powers. However, having been trained from an early age, she has developed great physical aptitude. She has mastered various martial arts such as kung fu, boxing and karate. She proved that with discipline, anything can be achieved.
Despite her difficult childhood, she has kept her heart of gold. Even though she was raised to be a killer, she found the strength to emancipate herself and find a deeper meaning to her existence.
Black widow or Natasha also has a sense of sacrifice. This Marvel hero doesn’t hesitate for a second to give her life so that others can live theirs. She’s a loving big sister and a devoted friend. Black Widow doesn’t talk much, preferring action instead. Nonetheless, she takes the advice of those closest to her into account and uses common sense in all situations.
Spiderman
Spiderman is a young boy with a passion for science and physics. He has a shy, reserved nature. Because of this, he has trouble making friends at school.
In the Marvel films, Spiderman is a kind person always ready to help those in need. Because he’s so clumsy, he tends to get himself into awkward situations. But little by little, he manages to overcome this.
Spiderman has a high IQ and aspires to become a great inventor like his mentor Iron-man. However, despite his intelligence, he often lets his emotions guide him. He’s sometimes very impatient. A flaw that causes him to make certain mistakes. Fortunately, he bends over backwards to right his wrongs, and always ends up making the best decision for everyone, even if it means stepping aside.
He sometimes uses humor to taunt his opponents during a fight.
Thor
Thor, son of Odin and God of Lightning. He’s a superhero from the planet Asgard. His primary role is to maintain peace in the cosmos. It’s a role that’s very close to his heart. Thor never does things by halves. He puts his heart and soul into his mission. This, however, has made him a little proud and arrogant.
A bit of a wild character, Thor acts first and thinks later. He tends to give in to his impulses. He relies a little too much on his strength and powers. This can sometimes work against him.
Despite this, Thor has evolved well in the MCU. He’s become a little friendlier and has developed a sense of camaraderie. He recognizes his weaknesses and does his best to make amends while overcoming hardships.
Thor also has a sense of humor and knows how to have fun when he needs to. He’s very fond of his brother Loki, even if he doesn’t always return the favor.
Loki
Loki is Thor’s brother. He’s known for his mischievous nature. He likes to play practical jokes and trick those around him with his pranks. He has long been considered a villain. Yet his character only reflects the feelings he represses deep down inside.
For Loki, getting into mischief is a way of proving his existence. He’s desperate to emerge from the shadow of his prodigy brother. His childhood was a lonely one, and only his mother could see through him.
Loki isn’t as bad as he makes out. Quite the contrary, in fact. In the series dedicated to him, he even admits that this is not the life he wanted.
We love Loki for his razor-sharp sense of humor and his “bad boy” streak. Loki’s appearance is also very important to him. He tends to take care of his looks and doesn’t like to get his clothes dirty. He appreciates well-tailored clothes that show off his body to best advantage. Although he’ll never admit it, he adores his brother Thor and would die for him.
Hulk
The Hulk is a Marvel character with a dual personality. When he’s just Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist, he tends to be afraid of just about everything. Despite his high IQ, he doesn’t always seem to have self-confidence. He’s a self-effacing character who rarely puts himself forward. Nevertheless, he knows how to make himself heard when the situation is critical.
Bruce Banner can become very touchy. When he gets really angry, he transforms into the Hulk and starts smashing things up. Presumably, this makes it difficult for him to deal with his excesses. He uses anti-stress medication to keep from succumbing to his murderous impulses.
Bruce Banner has a very gentle nature. Conflicts make him uncomfortable, and he generally prefers not to get involved. He’s an introvert who doesn’t always communicate well with others.
Thanks to his intelligence, he has made a name for himself in the scientific world, earning the respect of fellow researchers like Tony Stark.
Doctor Strange
Another scientist among the Avengers. Doctor Stephen Strange. He’s actually an American neurosurgeon. His character has undergone many positive changes throughout his development. He may have started out selfish, depraved and cynical, but he turned into a better version of himself.
Proof that even the worst of people can change for the better. Thanks to his training as a magician, he understood the true values of life. He became more altruistic, compassionate and less cynical.
Nevertheless, he has retained some of his personality traits, remaining a little haughty towards others. He also knows how to remain strict and disciplined in all situations. He’s a logical thinker, analyzing contexts to get the best out of them.
Ant-Man
Ant-Man is the man who can change size at will. He can become as small as an ant or as big as a giant. He’s a frivolous character who loves to have fun. He’s got a great sense of humor, and there’s never a dull moment with him. He knows how to play practical jokes and, thanks to his power, he can come up with some really good ones. His friendly nature makes it easy for him to find friends. We enjoy his company.
He may seem a little immature at first, but Ant-Man really cares about others. Just look at his relationship with his daughter. He wants more than anything to be a hero in her eyes and to make her proud.
Many people thought he was a loser and an incompetent, but he didn’t dwell on these prejudices. He knew not to hold it against him, and set out to become the person he wanted to be.
Black Panther
” Wakanda Forever ” is the phrase that will be remembered from the film, and the one that has left the deepest impression on fans of the Marvel Universe. Black Panther is an African hero. He plays a king with a good head on his shoulders, ready to do anything for the good of his people and humanity.
Black Panther’s personality is calm and serious. Nevertheless, he knows how to be gentle and fun alongside his little sister. He knows how to forgive the mistakes of those close to him, and how to give a second chance to those who want to seize it.
Like all superheroes, Black Panther is courageous. He doesn’t hesitate to put himself on the front line to face the enemy alongside his soldiers, the worthy sovereign that he is. He is valiant and does not shy away from his responsibilities. He also knows how to be a diplomat to keep the peace.
